My name is Josh Oberleas. I was born in Colorado and I am a graduate of Western State College with a degree in Outdoor Leadership with a Geology minor.
I am an avid kayaker and raft guide, and my career is just that, being a kayak raft guide around the world. I had the opportunity to go to Chile for kayaking and rafting and came back with incredible pictures.
Now I work in Pucon, Chile as a safety kayaker fot the company Politur.
Kayaking allows me to go to places most people have never seen. This gives me the opportunity to capture the magic that is in this world and allow people to see these places they might not ever be able to see. I feel very fortunate that I can follow my dreams as a professional boater and I want to share this with everyone.
My photos are a representation of how I see the world, and this is what helps me capture these images. I can see it before I take it!!!
I have been taking pictures since I was in high school, developing my black and white shots. Now I am working with a Canon 40D 10.2 mega pixel 6.5 fps. 28-300mm DG EX Sigma wide angle lens, 28-135mm EF IS Canon lens.
